Just a quick post to highlight a new publication of mine, available on Psychreg.

I wrote this piece drawing from personal, professional and third-party experiences of care within healthcare services. I thought it could be helpful and interesting to speak from both perspectives: as a professional who has worked within healthcare systems for many years, as well as a patient on the receiving-end of care.

I hope these contrasting perspectives are useful, especially as I know from being in both seats how easy it can be to jump to quick conclusions about how or why interactions can feel the way they do or sometimes result in dissatisfaction. 

This piece is an exploration of the layers contributing to those moments, both for patients and staff working within the systems around them.
